Consultation on proposed changes to The XVideoS中文版鈥檚 Admissions Arrangements

XVideoS中文版 is reviewing its schools鈥 admissions arrangements for the year 2025-26.

There is one change proposed in our 2025-26 admissions arrangements, which is:

  1. To reduce the PAN of Porthleven Primary School from 40 to 30.

The proposed arrangements with the changes highlighted are in the attached draft admissions policy. We openly invite comments from all stakeholders on these proposed admission arrangements in accordance with the School Admissions Code. The six-week consultation period begins on Tuesday 19th December 2023 and will end on Wednesday 31st聽 January 2024.

Please use the reference 鈥楥onsultation Admission Arrangements 25-26鈥 as your subject heading.聽 Comments are invited by the close of the school day on Wednesday 31st聽January 2024.聽聽 We will, in due course, provide feedback on this consultation.聽 If no feedback is provided, please assume that no objections have been brought to our attention.

Responsibility for admissions

The Trustees of XVideoS中文版 have responsibility for approval of the Admissions Policy and admissions arrangements for all member schools within the Trust. They will operate an admissions policy which ensures that all applications for admission to XVideoS中文版 MAT academies are dealt with in accordance with the requirements of the School Admissions and Appeals Codes, including the application of an agreed set of published oversubscription criteria and, where appropriate, adherence to Cornwall Council鈥檚 coordinated admissions schemes.

All decisions regarding admission to each academy are the responsibility of XVideoS中文版 MAT. However, it should be noted that Cornwall Council has a statutory duty to co-ordinate the admissions process for reception class applications. In addition, Cornwall Council has opted to assist parents by acting as a 鈥渃learing house鈥 for applications to other school year groups.

XVideoS中文版 MAT schools will participate fully in the Local Authority鈥檚 Fair Access Protocol and the Local Authority鈥檚 Co-ordinated Admissions Schemes. Details of these schemes are available on the Council鈥檚 website () or on request from the Local Authority. Closing dates and
other details about the application process will be stated in those Schemes.
